Introducing EA WorldView

As I write, our new site is beginning to appear to readers around the world. I wanted to quickly introduce it and provide a post where you can leave comments regarding our new look.

The main change for us has been the switch from Wordpress to Squarespace. We were very happy with Wordpress, but as EA grew the maintenance required (and the problems if something went wrong) became too much for our small team to handle. Squarespace, with its team of dedicated staff in New York, should ease some of the stresses and strains our old site used to exert on both EA readers and staff.

One of the biggest, and we think most useful changes. is our creation of five key niches for news and analysis: EA Iran, EA Middle East & Turkey, EA USA, EA Afghanistan-Pakistan, and EA Global. You can link to the latest post from each of these in the image carousel at the top of the page. If you want to only see posts from one niche. you can click on the link above the images; if you want to see all of our posts just scroll down the homepage as before. We'll aim to get RSS feeds for each of the five sections up and running as soon as we can.

There will inevitably be bugs and problems with the site --- if you spot any, leave us a comment or drop us an email and we'll take a look.

I'd like to thank everyone who offered, and continues to offer, feedback on the new site. We see this as an ongoing project and we have some exciting ideas and improvements in the pipeline- once things are running smoothly we'll start making these available to you.
