To ease our disappointment at the non-appearance of President Ahmadinejad's Saturday night speech, cancelled so he could go to Turkey in his role of Leader of the Islamic World, we return to the national address that ensured his victory in the 12 June Presidential election.

Tony, lmbo, I saw Chal's comment and I was in such awe I couldn't think of a reply; I was considering the source and figured anything I said in response might be taken wrong. lol, good job, nice polite response !

These charts remind me of Moussavi's excellent election clips, where AN's Nouruz speeches were confronted with indexes of rising unemployment and declining economic output.
Today ILNA offers a well documented report, entitled "Iran's industry is in a deadlock, why don't you want to believe it?", with relevant data from the Bank Markazi on rising debts of Iranian companies, along with dwindling investment rates and gross accumulated capital dropping to 2.1 percent in 2007 (metalworking industry): http://www.ilna.ir/newsText.aspx?ID=88061
At the same time parliament has given AN blank approval after his menace to stop subsidies: http://www.donya-e-eqtesad.com/Default_view.asp?@=182433
In fact international sanctions are not necessary, this regime is stalling Iran's economy by itself.
